How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?

This trip was initially planned long time ago, but, until now couldn't happen. Since 2013 we tried to establish official collaboration creating an educational platform for emerging and young professionals within contemporary art and curatorship across region. We discussed in detail all aspects of our possible collaboration for following year- program, funding opportunities, logistics for mobility, timeframe. This trip was fruitful for us in deed.

How does exchange, networking and international contacts contribute to the development of your artistic and cultural project?

It is essential in field of culture. Constant exchange of knowledge and own experience gained through practices between colleagues is very important not only for professional developing.

Can you elaborate on the learning and knowledge you have gained and shared throughout this experience?

We' ve visited Museum for Modern Art in Ljubljana in order to prepare material for workshop for first day. Discussion afterwards and presentations seemed very interesting to young participants (mostly upcoming curators and artists). On a second day we had very challenging w'shop which tackled importance of open and straight- forward communication between actors of one art project (Curator vs Artist, role- play). Debate, raised between participants and us afterwards, consumed even more time we initially planned, but that was good sign. Later, my colleagues- Dusan Dovč, Miha Kelemina and Lara Plavčak from SCCA and me took some time for self- reflection on two day workshop. Following two days we had series of meetings and discussions with main Slovenian actors in field of contemporary art and curatorial practice. We discussed future possible cooperation. All in all, very successful network and knowledge exchange.
