How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?

This grant allowed me to go to Lebanon in order to work on a contemporary dance performance called "Train-him up for me" with the choreographer Nancy Naous and the dancer Alexandre Paulikevitch who lives in Lebanon. The performance consists on a process of re-questioning the construction of the male body in our societies, and more specifically in the societies of the Arab world. In parallel to the rehearsals we were doing, our stay in Lebanon helped us to explore a concrete field and rely on real personal stories and documentations , in order to constitute a rich and diverse material that represents all the elaboration and construction of the notion masculinity in the collective unconsciousness and in social norms and rules.

How does exchange, networking and international contacts contribute to the development of your artistic and cultural project?

During international stays i always have the opportunity to meet a lot of people from my artistic field or from other cultural backgrounds and also new curators. It's always very rewarding to discuss and share my experience with other artists. Without forgetting that this kind of stays give me the time and space to concentrate all my energy on one project and to be far from the obligations and duties of everyday life.

Can you elaborate on the learning and knowledge you have gained and shared throughout this experience?

This experience gave me the desire to go more often to Lebanon to collaborate with artists living there, despite all the political and economic situation of the country, the artistic scene is boiling and it transmits a very beautiful energy.
